When Tim and Jane first came to us, they had their heart set on a Shaker Kitchen due to the age of their 17th-century farmhouse. After a visit to our showroom, they saw the Modern Kitchen range with its clean lines, no handles and beautiful oak trims. At this point, they decided that this was the kitchen for them, a fresh look that incorporated all the appliances they needed. On the far wall, a five-ring hob took the place of the Aga. Then on the opposite wall a run of low units with a tall cupboard each end housing some internal drawers and adjustable shelves. The kitchen units behind the side by side Oven, Combi Microwave and Warming Drawer sit neatly next to the Fridge and Freezer. The main cupboards were painted in Farrow and Balls ‘Borrowed Light’ adding light to the original room. The Island painted in F&B Stifkey Blue incorporates the sink, two dishwashers and triple bin. This area provides a great place for prepping and works perfectly separating the dining area from the kitchen. To brighten the kitchen 60×90 Limestone slab flooring was chosen, giving both a classic and contemporary feel.
